Tour Day 21: Friday, May 11, 2001
Victoria Peak, Hong Kong Island
Restaurant and Tram Station.
This building towers over the hilltop.
You can take a tram from the coastal area to the top, and this is the terminus. A restaurant occupies the top of the building. Imagine the spectular view that is served with dinner.
The Other Side Of The Island
There's also a shopping center in the observation area. And from the side of the shopping center you can look down on the southern side of the island.
More new buildings rise above us. We couldn't get to the actual summit. But the view was wonderful from here, don't you think?
Here's a couple of shots from the bus on the way down.
Next, we'll go down to the harbor and take a sampan tour of the Aberdeen area where the boat people have historically lived their lives on sampans and junks.
