The Library

3:02 PM — While familiarizing ourselves with the ship, we came across the library full of people. No, they weren't waiting to check out books, as you might guess. But they were waiting to visit with the maitre 'd to try to get their dinner seating assignment changed to the first sitting. Only a few were successful. A couple of travel agents had booked more than two hundred passengers on the cruise. So if you weren't a customer of theirs, you had little chance of getting the sought-after change.

Replicas of the famous Chinese Terra Cotta Warriors

Parked at the edge of a large hallway near the library, these look genuine.
The horse nearest the camera appears to have had his nose petted a few times.

Fresh flower arrangements were placed throughout the ship.

A Leisurely Lido Breakfast

It's 9:19 AM and we're at sea.
There's no reason to hurry unless
you want to get to the port lecture at 9:30.
Barbara Haenni will be in the show lounge telling
everything we need to know about one of the ports we will visit.

Crew Member Refills Coffee Cup in the Lido Buffet

This ship is laid out just like the ms Ryndam and ms Statendam, and their sister ships.
The Rotterdam is a little larger.
