Northeastern Quadrant of Forum

The stark remains of the Basilica of Constantine and Maxentius's huge arches and ceilings give some idea of the original scale and grandeur of the Forum's public buildings. The domed Temple of Romulus from the 4th centry AD has survived as part of the church of santi Cosma e Damiano.
