Lagoa do Fogo or Pond of Fire (literally) known as Fire Lake

This, of course, is a lake in the crater of a volcano.

I walked across the road to see the north shore.

We thought it was going to start raining any minute, and it did sprinkle a bit, but not enough to bother anybody.
