This is the view out of the hotel window. The city is on a
triangle of land, bordered by the Cool Inlet and the Chugach
Mountains, seen here in the background.

This tree was across the
street from the hotel, as
is the house in the
picture below. These
berry-covered trees are
very common in Alaska.
We always find the homes
interesting.
