Katmai white, sandy beaches

Thar she blows!

Our pilot spotted a pod of humpback whales cavorting over the strait at the mouth of the Cook Inlet on our way back to Homer. He banked the plane one way and another so that we could get some pictures. You have to be fast between spotting them and snapping the picture. This is the best one Pat was able to achieve.

Beluga Lake

We have arrived back at Homer's Beluga Lake after a truly once-in-a-lifetime trip to see Katmai National Park's brown bears.
