Salt Lake City

Hallowed Halls... genealogists, who will recognize this building as the LDS Family History Library. One does not have to be of the Latter Day Saints' faith to be welcome to use the library. This library houses the largest genealogical research faclilty in the world.

Pat's sister, Valery Plater-Goodman used to pay an annual visit to this facility each January when she was researching her ancestors and those of her husband, Mark Plater.

Sorry about the post in the middle of the picture. When taking pictures from a moving vehicles, that happens more often than you'd imagine.

Pricilla, Zoe, and Austin Stewart

We were pleased that we got to visit with great-nephew Austin Stewart and his family who have been living in Salt Lake City long enough to consider it home these days.
Zoe, who has been precocious since she was a tot, continued to delight with her adult-sounding talk and manners.

gets a big thumbs up in our recommendations for others to stay there.

There's much, much more to see in Salt Lake City,
but we must press on toward our destination, Vancouver Island.
