Island Helicopter

Soon our van arrived to take us from the pier to the heliport where we boarded our Island Helicopter craft for a tour of the island. There were about 3 helicopter loads from the Statendam for the 11 AM flight. Our pilot was a veteran Vietnam combat pilot, with 30 years of helicopter piloting experience, so we were comfortable him. First, we flew over the harbor. Statendam is the ship with the black hull in the center of the picture. Vision of the Seas is the larger white ship on the right.

We saw breathtaking waterfalls in every canyon.
