A New Custom

When people left the islands they used to throw their leis into the sea. In this age of environmental awareness, we don't do that any more because the strings that hold the flowers together can injure the sea life.

It's much more fun to have everyone gather for a cocktail party around the outdoor pool.

At the end of the party everyone gathers around the pool and throws their lei into the pool.

Aloha!

The remainder of the pictures will be taken on the Statendam, and appear in that section.
