It's about 6 AM and we are off the west coast of cloud-shrouded Maui with the buildings of Lahaina visible on the central shore. We expect to take a walking tour through the city in order to learn something of cultural legacies and history of the first capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii.

Watching the lowering of the tenders is always interesting when we come in to those ports-of-call where they must be used.

FYI: Lahaina, it is located on the forehead of the bust of the Maui Man. The Maui Ocean Center, which we will visit later, is at the isthmus, or at the place where the chin meets his throat.

Lahaina doesn't have a deep-water port, so the ship's tenders ferry passengers into the small craft marina on shore. This process was underway when picture was taken at 7:26 AM.
