The Ferry Business Picks Up As Morning Progresses

And we decide to go to the upper deck to have a better look at this fabulous harbour.

The Western Harbour

We can see over the top of the Hilton Hotel at the Pier to the western section of the harbor. Known as the City of Sails, Auckland offers a view of thousands of masts of sail boats at their moorings at various marinas to our northwest. We can see the approach to a bridge over part of the harbor and the water of the inner harbor beyond that.

The city of Auckland is built on a cluster of gentle hills. The literature tells us that Auckland stretches across 60 extinct volcanos.
