We are directly northwest of Auckland, which is on the east coast of the North Island. Note that the name Haumoana means sea-breeze. They aren't kidding with that name. The Kaipara Peninsula is on the Tasman Sea which is a notoriously windy sea. The winds were nothing short of gale force the day were at Haumoana Farm. Care needed to be taken to remain standing when not sheltered by a building.
