Navigating Neumayer Channel In Fog

There are no street signs or channel markers in these waters.


These razor-sharp little ridges are known as dikes. Volcanic in origin, the were created when hot magma pushed itself up into cracks in the overlaying rock. That rock then was eroded away at a later time.
