Cruise Enthusiasts: Lou & Dale Milani

The pictures on this page were contributed by Dale and Lou Milani who shared many of the same experiences as we did. Their South American cruise was aboard the Mercury. Dale took these pictures from their room on the 28th floor of the Meridien Hotel on Copacabana Beach. Our contributers were able to spend an entire week in this beautiful city after their cruise ended. Thanks Dale, for these magazine-quality pictures.

Leme and Copacabana Beaches

Okay, when a city has such long stretches of beautiful beach, it makes sense to name sections differently. The cusp of the two named beaches happens to be in the center of this picture. Dale shot this picture to illustrate the detail of the beautiful tile sidewalk that borders several miles of Rio de Janeiro's beaches.

Corcovado Mountain and Christ the Redeemer statue are on the right.
Notice the condors soaring on the thermals generated by the ridge.
