Some Brave Passengers

It was cold and very windy as we approached Elephant Island,
but some went out on deck for better views.

We Headed for the Lee Side Of The Island.

The southeast side of Elephant Island provided a degree of protection from the high winds of the Southern Ocean. Captain Jonathan Mercer anchored for the night in the lee of the island.
