as the O'Briens tender back to the ship.

Outer Harbor

We back on the ship by 11 AM and well in time for lunch.

A tender brings a load of passengers back to the ship, while the other goes back to the pier for another load. Some of the passengers were late getting back, so our 1 PM planned departure was a bit delayed.

Tenders Up!

The O'Briens caught one tender in the middle of its lift into position in the hanger over the Promanade Deck where it will ride as we cross Drake Passage between South America and the Antarctic Peninsula. Another tender is in the process of being pulled into the protection of the covered deck space.

These tenders, of course, are among the life boats carried on ms Ryndam and all cruise ships.

A crabber heads for the pier.

We set sail for the Drake Passage and Antarctica at 2 PM, those pictures will be next.
