Michael Sahagun, Waves Bye

Michael, who is a waiter in the Ocean Bar, bids the O'Briens a good trip home. Many goodbyes were said as we prepared to leave after 3 weeks aboard the MS Ryndam. Although Holland America says that tips are optional and offers no guidelines, most staffers are on low salaries, and they look forward to them at the end of the cruise.

All good things must come to an end,

and so, this is where we said good bye to most of our new friends.
Holland America sets up a hospitality room at a local hotel. By the time this picture was taken the crowd had thinned considerably. Unfortunately the Broms were not able to sit at the same table as we did. They appear at the next table in the center forground. Thoroughly seasoned travelers, Kazuko and her mom rented a day room and took a snooze. The busses started shuttling people to the airport at about 6:30. Our flight didn't take off until midnight.

Thank you for viewing our pictures, and sharing our cruise experiences. Please come back and share another of our trips at http://www.tylerstravels.com.
